Living Waters in July
Partnership, Impactful, Dramatic
If there is one word to describe 2025, it would be dramatic. It was also an impactful year through the partnership of friends, churches, and ministry teams. Living Waters had welcomed patients from diverse ethnic, each carrying painful needs, stories, and hope in 2025 - complete with our own medical emergencies!
We conducted equipping outreaches to Mae La Refugee Camp, Mae Sot, and Phop Phra. Through your generosity, we supported 210 children through the Child Sponsorship Program, and were able to raise THB 300,000 to purchase about 5,000 rice ration for the Karen Refugee Committee.
Though the year often stretched our capacity, we were continually reminded that God often work through Plan B or C, when original plan A fell through. We witnessed lives impacted, salvations and transformations, and the completion of meaningful projects and training outreaches.
2025 also marked our 20 years in Thailand. It was still vivid when we flew to Chiang Mai for the first time, on 2 January 2005, with just a local phone number for a rental house. Much has happened since then, and we learn from both good and bad experiences, but we are grateful because of God's faithfulness, and friends who walked with us.
Please continue to uphold Living Waters ministry in prayer and share with your friends & network. With your partnership, by God’s grace, we look forward for a greater impact this year.
Kian Leong & Su Foong
In 2025, Living Waters Home served an average of 66 patients and caregivers each month, welcoming a total of 797 guests throughout the year. Additionally, we engaged a male staff member, bringing our team to a total of five staff, and acquired a used van with a wheelchair lift to meet growing operational and patient-care needs.
Rice and eggs were provided for every cancer patient, while full meals were served for the war victims, most of whom are disabled. Our staff have also stepped up to do wound dressing to save cost for BHDF. Through this, Living Waters continued to be a place of hope, dignity, and practical support for the many guests.

Border Outreaches & Humanitarian Projects
A former war victim, B*n is now studying at KKBBSC, Mae La Camp. A recipient of the IDP scolarship, he hope to go back to his village in Karen State to teach.
I want to express my heartful gratitude for paying my tuition fees. Your generosity has taken a significant weight off my shoulders, and I'm truly thankful.
As it says in Philippians 4:19 'and my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus'.
Your kindness has met my need, and I'm grateful for your support. Thank you for believing in me and investing in my education.
Sincerely, Saw B*n

The escalating violence and conscription in Myanmar drove more children and youths into Thailand seeking safety and education. In response, we began sponsoring:
Children for Christ Dorm since June 2024
Home for You Dorm since October 2024
Bwe K'ler Migrant School since July 2025
This initiative now supports 210 youths & children. We are raising just THB 3,800 (Or RM 500) annually per child to meet their basic needs of food on the table. Every cent goes to these homes.

These students will graduate in March 2026 and will serve in Karen State or along the Thai border as teachers, pastors, or church workers. As an ECE practicum, a Sports Camp was organized at Brigade 7 (No. 1) Middle School, with 100 children participating and 30 responding to the Gospel.
Together with DUMC mission teams, we facilitated the Beyond Success Personal Transformational Program at various IDP* schools & colleges along the border of Thailand & Myanmar with a total of 329 participants :
KKBBSC (66 trained), SALC (5 trained), KKB Migrant School (170 trained, 41 responses), KHTS (15), TMK - (73 trained, 39 responses/ rededication)
14 students from TMK are being mentored as facilitators.
*IDP: Internally Displaced People aka Refugee
The 12 final year students have facilitated Success Tables in their own small groups for 88 new students. Thus making a total of 417 who completed Beyond Success among the IDPs in 2025.
While numbers is important, we are reminded to always build people through personal transformation.
We were faced with a situation when rice rations were withdrawn from the Karen refugee camps. With generous hearts & word of mouth, I am grateful that friends & friends of friends have raised THB 300,000 (*RM 40,000) in August & September for Karen Refugee Committee for its workers, equivalent to 5,000 5-kg packs.
Every entry & exit now require registration, a local guarantee & photos taken
Due to the scam gangs issues, the Thai govt has made tighter restrictions to enter the border areas with Myanmar for countries including Malaysian passports. Pray that these scam centers & gangs can be eradicated completely - everywhere!
