Since August 2009, Living Waters Home has served more than 700 needy & vulnerable outpatients & caregivers annually by offering a safe & secure place to stay while they seek treatment at local government hospitals. With a focus on poor cancer patients & wounded patients, they come from northern Thailand provinces and border areas of Myanmar & Laos. Besides a bed, Living Waters offers basic daily necessities, and a compassionate space where they can rest, heal, and share their journeys with dignity and hope.

The ministry has assisted at the Karen Refugee camp since 2011 assisted amid ongoing conflict. The civil war intensified in 2021 following the Junta’s takeover, further exacerbating poverty and insecurity. Hospitals and schools were bombed, and forced conscription by both the Junta and local militias drove many families to flee across the long, porous border into Thailand. In the midst of this crisis, Living Waters Ministry seeks to respond to the wounded, as well as to children and youth, at a time such as this.
