FOLLOW-up on #1 pray4land

Thank you for your prayer partnership. The price is still firmed at THB 6.5 million as it was already priced to sell. Most importantly, it 'checked' all the right boxes...

The board will be meeting soon and prepare the relevant documents for the Sales & Purchase. The total funding needed for the land & building project is RM 1.0 million but by mid-March, we will need to raise RM333,000 / USD 81,000 for the balance land + tax payment. As such, we are seeking an urgent fund raising & a bridging loan for the time being.

Going Forward from the Comfort Zone to a Common Ground

We're excited, that after much prayer, anxiety and negotiation, we are stepping by faith, to purchase this land and to build a long-term home for Living Waters Foundation, for the patients, caregivers & staff. Located just 1.5 km from the Northern Cancer Center, it's more than a shelter. It'll be a holistic approach, common ground where the sick & suffering find rest, the weary find hope, and care is given with dignity. And no one will be turned away because of space or distance.

By God’s grace and careful stewardship, since 2018, we have saved & set aside THB 4.0 million for a building project. We are now inviting friends, partners, and the wider community to help us raise the remaining THB 7.8 million (RM 1 million) to complete this building project.

The Building Plan (4 Phases)*

Land Purchase (By mid-March) – To raise balance RM 333,000 / USD 81,000
Refurbish / construction (April to June) – Budget RM 513,000 / USD 125,000
Furnishings & Equipment (July) – Budget RM 103,000 / USD 25,000
Solar Power (August) – Budget RM 51,000 / USD 13,000

Total Land & Building cost RM 1.60 million (based on forex 7.8 RM & 32.0 USD)

How to reach that 1 million?

Frankly I don't know. This was a sudden opportunity that fell on our lap. A tall order, yet had to be done somehow. A friend recently pointed out, 'All you need is just 100 friends, church or cell groups to give RM 10,000 each?' And she gave. So far we have 3 who have committed. Would you like to be in the next 97?

But no amount is too small. We look at both small and big giving, with the poor widow who gave 2 copper coins, in mind (Mark 12:41). She gave with all her heart. All I ask if you could support this project, with your heart. It's a struggle, just like us, 20 years ago when we step out in faith. Thank You! KL

I had to add a caveat here: As a registered charity, Living Waters Foundation's day-to-day operations, various ministries & yours truly, are fully dependent on donations. This 1-time building fund is a separate project, and thus, a request that we will still need regular funding & support for the operations & ministry.
